Have you ever been in a situation where you feel over your head, and then that precise song from The Fray comes to you? This has had to happen to at least someone else reading this! In any case, it's a soothing feeling. A lot of the tracks from The Fray have that kind of effect. "You Find Me" is another one that speaks of a rough situation, but at least you found God. That's a track where we see the Christian music themes that are actually the origins of the band. This is not going to be your average 2000s rock reunion tour. The Fray's a little deeper than that. Anyone who's seen The Fray playing live since the departure of Isaac Slade would be lying if they told you the experience is the same with Joe King taking over lead vocals. Now, a couple of things to keep in mind: King was always backup, so it's not like the voice feels unfamiliar. At live shows, he's been known to dial back the speed of some of the songs. What you get is a track where you're able to hang on every word that he's singing. Actually, it's helped highlight the truly deep lyrics in a lot of these songs. Yes, the experience is different, but it's certainly worth a look.
The front of the theater gives you the rock experience you might be hoping for. When was the last time that you were in the pit area at one of these shows? As you move through the theater, though, you could encounter a much more comfortable experience. A centered view with seats that also provide a quick exit toward the concessions areas could be ideal for some fans. It just comes down to the experience that you're looking to have.
