Drawing crowds with both of their huge fanbases, it's gonna be a celebration like no other. As these industry titans helped shape modern pop and R&B hits today, this tour will capture the free spirit they've always been known for, music that's personal but brings together hearts that beat the same feels. The tour comes in celebration of Khalid's new album "after the sun goes down," out now.
As the sun sets, Khalid is set to light up the skies with an electrifying show that'll share his new songs from the "after the sun goes down" LP and hits across all his eras. Marking six years since his last major tour, and a decade since he kicked off his career from "American Teen," the young lad who wrote songs for SoundCloud has come a long way, filling up arenas around the globe.
"Although it feels like yesterday sometimes, I understand it’s been a while… so I’ll be performing songs from all of my eras," Khalid shared on Instagram.
These eras include the newest & brightest After The Sun Goes Down, and tons of memories from Sincere, Scenic Drive, Free Spirit, Suncity and American Teen. The singer also expressed much excitement about Lauv joining him on stage.
Becoming one of the most celebrated and relatable young voices in the industry, Khalid's impact has definitely been close to everyone's hearts. Beyond his own line of hits, the man also teamed up with various artists for globally-acclaimed singles, including Halsey for "Eastside", Billie Eilish for "Lovely", Marshmello for "Silence", and Normani for "Love Lies".
Packed with songs of love and "taking his power back", the new album sees Khalid taking a step back to his roots. An album that follows a car accident that took his life to a new direction, "It reminded me of how fragile life actually is. And I got caught in this highly inspired time period, and I finished the album. I just wanted to find that spark, and I did," he shared with Rolling Stone.
Uniquly blending his sick vibes of dance, pop and R&B, it's a career-defining era that shares what he does best. Discovering his own sound by himself, it's a major turning point in his career. "I feel like with this album, I knew that I wanted to go back to pop, but I wanted to do it in the way that I felt connected to it the most," Khalid told Rolling Stone.
Be sure to take part in a celebration wherein his authentic music takes center stage - joined by Lauv at the It's Always Summer Somewhere Tour. Don't miss out by booking your tickets now!
